⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Golden Curry Review – April 2025 A welcome return to the Golden Curry. Arrived at 19:45 but only one large table taken but no other covers? Staff were very good, polite and efficient. The venue has been re-decorated. Very nice booths with good lighting and nice seating. Music also gave a good ambience. Pops nice but dips really quite plain, mint sauce was weak. My starter, Rashmi Kebab very good and my mains of Lamb Chilli Mazza also nice and spicy with tender lamb. All the food was very good indeed, hence the five star rating. Add this to the fact that it is not the most expensive sets you up for a great experience and overall we had a very good evening. See below for more details on individual dishes. The Chairman

- ✓Reshmi Kebab, larger burger and flavoursome omelette
- ✓House Special lamb, good citrus flavour
- ✓Lamb Chilli Mazza, really good heat, taste and tender
- ✓Golden Korma, mild curry with a tasty sauce
- ✓Murghi Garlic Chilli, delicious large chicken breast
- ✓Chicken Katmandoo, generous portion with a good ‘bite’ and taste
- ✓Tava Nawabi, well spiced lamb and prawn
- ✓Jeera and Saag Aloo, soft potatoes, good taste
- ✓Bindi Bhaji, good taste, fresh bite
- ✓All Naans and Rice good, a hot Chilli Naan
- ✗Slowish service for a quiet restaurant on a Friday night
- ✗We received our order in full but also a rice and a naan that were not ordered
- ✗Chicken Tikka a little overcooked on shared starter
- ✗Popadum dips were average
- ✗Poor mint sauce
- ✗Chicken was quite dry in the Korma
- ✗Onion bhajee, ok but not the best
- ✗Tarka Daal, ok but not great
Excellent value, generally lower prices and a quality offering
